Our vacation house is a small 1932 bungalow-style house in desperate need of a new kitchen. It needed a new kitchen’s conveniences, but the design had to fit within the River vibe: casual but cool. We came up with a plan that maximized the small space using materials that delivered charm and character and worked with the rest of the home.
Eric started by identifying much-needed structural work in the basement beneath the kitchen. That work shored up the structure and added stability to this part of the home. This kitchen has several odd angles, imperfect measurements, and lots of quirks – that’s where Eric’s deep breadth of experience and knowledge is so invaluable.
Because Eric runs a small crew and handles the technical and detailed work himself, there is a great deal of personal pride in his work and unity in the overall project. He was constantly coming up with creative solutions or workarounds to solve problems. He has an optimistic attitude which is always welcome during any construction project.
Eric was always available and in constant communication. He regularly updated me on his progress, accomplishments, and obstacles. Sometimes we talked several times a day.
